WHO WE ARE

The Newcomers Club of New Orleans is a non-profit, social organization offering year-round activities to introduce new residents to the many facets of the city. We are composed of women of diverse ages, religions, nationalities and talents.

Dues are $25.00 per year, payable on January 1st, for as many years as a member desires to belong to the club. Members joining after July 1st will pay dues of $12.50 for the remainder of their first year.

The club is governed by a Board of Directors composed of the Officers of the Club, the Council of Immediate Past Officers, and up to 11 Board Members.

The Preamble to our Constitution and By-Laws speaks clearly to our mission to
celebrate diversity and create enthusiasm within all Newcomers to the
Greater Metropolitan New Orleans area. It states:

Consonant with the most liberal spirit of tolerance in the achievement of our purpose, we agree that this organization will, at all times, during the span of its existence, maintain an attitude strictly non-sectarian, non-partisan, and non-sectional, nor shall it as an organization take any part in political issues, or the affairs of state.
